Cory Lebson, Principal User Experience Consultant (TS)

Cory has functioned as a user experience consultant since 1994. He established Lebsontech LLC in 1997, and in 2008, he transformed this side-business into a full-time occupation. Since then, his core client base has included a number of organizations and has led to usability projects for government, non-profit, e-commerce and educational institutions.

Cory enjoys functioning as an evangelist for usability. His primary passion is for user research, and he has conducted hundreds of usability test sessions and user research activities. Cory also greatly enjoys teaching topics related to user experience and technology. He currently conducts monthly seminars and is a frequent speaker at local area events and national usability conferences.

Cory has an MBA focusing in marketing and technology management, as well as an MA in sociology and a BS in psychology. Cory is also the president of the DC chapter of the Usability Professionals’ Association (UPA) and is on the Board of Directors of UPA International.

Aviva Lebson, Director of User Experience Consulting Services

Aviva joined Lebsontech in 2010. Aviva is passionate about creating effective change in a meaningful way and combines this passion with her usability skills. She enjoys designing and teaching training courses, as well as working on user research initiatives including usability testing, focus groups, information architecture analyses, heuristic reviews, accessibility evaluations and web analytics. Aviva is a published writer and editor, and uses these skills to analyze qualitative data and then provide clear and concise usability recommendations to a number of government, e-commerce and other commercial clients.

Aviva's formal background is in education, and prior to her usability work, she spent 18 years in the field of education and training. During that time, she taught in classrooms, supervised teachers, wrote curriculum, initiated projects, planned programs and wrote many successful proposals. Aviva has an MA in education and a BA in history.

Edie Lee, User Experience Specialist & Technical Writer

Edie joined Lebsontech in 2008. With a background in research, Edie assists with Lebsontech user research initiatives, including usability testing, information architecture analyses, focus groups, heuristic reviews, and card sorts. Edie is also a skilled writer and editor and is responsible for quality assurance of all Lebsontech deliverables. Edie has a BS degree in Biology.

Associates

Robert Skrobe, Senior User Experience Specialist

Robert has over 18 years of experience in information architecture, user research, web analytics, and business strategy.  He's worked with well known companies such as Amazon, Target, Netflix, Brown-Forman, Microsoft, XBOX, Accenture, MetroPCS and Southwest Airlines. Robert has also served as the director of user experience for Slingshot and as a senior-level information architect for Fox Interactive Media and for Razorfish. Robert has also served as a board member af the Usability Professionals' Association and was a conference chair at both the 2010 and 2011 UPA conferences.

Additional Associates

We also have ongoing relationships with a number of additional associates whose skills we can draw upon as needed. We have associates at both senior and junior levels, with skills in user research and visual design.
